Description

Data Breach plays like a puzzle-themed security sim where you act as a digital defender patching holes and rerouting data in a stylised network, firmly fictional and not a real hacking tool or tutorial, so every level is about turning nodes and closing gaps before “intrusion” icons reach sensitive servers; on desktop you move a cursor with the mouse, click nodes to rotate pathways or toggle firewalls, use number keys or buttons to deploy limited-use shields or scans and hit space or enter to fast-forward when you trust your setup, while on mobile you tap nodes to rotate or toggle them, pinch to zoom across the grid, tap large shield or scan icons and tap pause if you need to rethink; the aim is to keep green data flowing while red threats are diverted, quarantined or timed out, which works best if you secure outer edges first, create bottlenecks where multiple defenses overlap and avoid over-rotating nodes so you don’t accidentally cut your own traffic; start a new level by tracing the shortest path from entry to core, then placing your strongest tools along that spine; if clicks or taps stop doing anything after an overlay, tap or click inside the canvas so focus returns, if packet movement looks jerky on weaker hardware lower graphics quality, disable glow and particle effects and close other tabs, if touch selection hits the wrong node reset browser zoom to 100 percent and try full screen, and if campaign progress, unlocked tools or settings reset between sessions ensure cookies and local storage are enabled so Data Breach can keep your fictional network defenses intact.
