Thronehold is a small-screen kingdom manager where the tension comes from your economy and your defenses pulling in opposite directions. Every upgrade is a trade: more farms means safer food… but fewer walls means a shorter time-to-fail when a heavy wave arrives. The cleanest wins come from building a stable income first, then locking down the gate area so you’re never scrambling mid-wave. Controls Desktop: Click buildings to upgrade. Drag workers into job slots (or use +/- buttons). Click units or banners to reposition. Use Pause/Speed controls. Mobile: Tap buildings to open panels. Tap +/- to reassign workers. Drag simple markers to move troops. Tap big wave/special buttons. Game-specific strategy Food first, always: If you starve, everything collapses. Get a steady food baseline before you buy “nice” upgrades. Upgrade the gate defense before fancy towers: If enemies break your first line, your backline gets overwhelmed no matter how strong your ranged units are. Keep one “panic squad” near the gate: A small melee group parked at the entrance saves runs when a fast unit slips through or a wave spikes unexpectedly. Hold spells for wave spikes: Spells feel tempting early, but their best value is when the screen fills and your units start to lose formation. Experience tip If you’re losing “randomly,” it’s usually not random — it’s a worker bottleneck. Watch where queues form (farm, mine, repair) and add capacity there before buying anything else.
